Hi all,
i'm new to this forum and hope to help each other.
recently i've downloaded pc3000 v14 AT,but couldn't get it work with Maxtor drives.
may be because of EMM386 or HIMEM.SYS.-i got a message saying:error executing module-
when executing maxtor utilities.
also the pcdosemu.com give a message saying that it needs PURE DOS.
my config.sys is as follow:
device=himem.sys
device=emm386.exe RAM
dos=high,umb
files=60

the autoexec.bat is:
vgaga.exe
pcdosemu.com 2

could anyone help in this matter

i just solved the problem trying many configs ,mobos and memory modules,
the problem resides in the bios setting:
i loaded the bios default in the setup,saved and rebooted ,and hop all messages have gone.
works fine now.
when i focused closely on the matter,i found out that EMM386 doesn't like the USB LEGACY SUPPORT to be enabled in the mobo bios settings.
will start experimenting this powerful tool,as i have some soft/hard damaged hdds.
some of which has many defets to be reallocated so i'll try to proceed repairing them
any idea if pc3k could handle many defets ?
