RAID 5 Reconstruction
am looking for a solution to reconstruct a RAID 5 SERVER, that has lost data.its 271 GB of data that has been lost on that server and i would wish to carry out a raw recovery on the server, but since the RAID has been broken i would need to build it again then make an image or something
i have tried different tools an none seem to be giving out data which is not corrupt, i have been at it for almost 1 month & would wish to get some case & there resolutions
but am not sure how to go on ahead kindly do give me your opinion on the best way possible

You may be able to reconstruct the RAID with WinHex specialist or X-Ways Forensics if the stripe and parity pattern is one of the supported ones. You would have to figure out the correct parameters yourself, however.

am not so sure how to go about it
i have winhex version 12 and version 13 professional am not so sure if i have the option of upgrade but my question is what are my chances
am not also sure of the parrameters that were there prevously on the raid
what other tool can i use to create an image of the raid then use winhex to carry out a raw recovery onto it
currently the state of the array is its broken and all the drives are seen as individual drives in windows

Can you supply details as to the brand/model of RAID controller or the make/model of the RAID appliance/device?
How many drives, size of drives, and any additional details as to the way the RAID was initialized?
Were the RAID controller defaults used?
How many volumes was the RAID formatted to?
What was the cause of the RAID failure (disk failure, logical corruption)?
Had any of the drives failed prior to the complete failure (stale)?
Don't reconstruct a RAID 5 SERVER!!
don't do it anything when theRAID 5 SERVER was failure.if you do it you will lost data...maybe never fix your data.
don't move the server when you are not so sure.
don't try tools to create an image of the raid or used WHINEX software fix data..

RAID'volume is not sure ,RAID of software is 16bit
the cause of the RAID failure is uncertainty,most of disk failure or bad sector of physical .
the RAID 5arraycan lost 1-2 drive ,your data is safe.
